Shorelines

Shorelines brings together paintings and collages made from observations of the Scottish coast. Rocks, sea, weather and changing light provide the starting point, with painted and found surfaces layered to move between landscape and abstraction.

Japan

Japan developed from drawings, photographs and observations made during recent travels. The work combines fragments of architecture, colour and pattern with painted and found papers, exploring the visual character of everyday life in Japan.
